🥘 Hands-On Learning in Action! 🥘
Today, Mrs. Jacobs' Culinary Practicum students took their learning outside the classroom with a grocery shopping trip to Walmart! 🛒
As part of their meal prep unit, students:
✅ Created a full meal plan
✅ Worked within a set budget
✅ Built their own grocery list
✅ And today—shopped their list in real time!
Culinary Practicum is the capstone course for students who have already completed the Culinary Pathway. This course gives them the chance to take their skills to the next level with hands-on, work-based learning in their area of expertise. 👩🍳👨🍳
We are so proud of these Blackhawks as they sharpen both their culinary and real-world skills!

Yesterday, several of Mr. Davis's agriculture students had the opportunity to go to the 808 Ranch and visit with owner Lamar Steiger. Mr. Steiger talked to the students about the importance of agriculture and FFA. We are thankful to our community partners who support our schools and contribute to student learning! The 808 Ranch recently purchased the hay hauler trailer that was built from the ground up by our student welders.

Teacher Appreciation Day 4 was very delightful. We started the day with Einstein Bagels provided by the High School Admin then had a baked potato bar and desserts from
First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge. We also had some delicious Rick's Bakery cookies donated by Farm Bureau agent Ryleigh Montgomery. Thank you to everyone!

Teacher Appreciation Day 3 at the High School was wonderful. Breakfast was provided by Daylight Donuts, a trail mix bar by STUCO, and a delicious lunch provided by HS parents, but prepared by Jenn Jacobs. We also had some giveaways donated from the Cawthon's and First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge. Thank you so much!
