Due to inclement weather, the Pea Ridge Public School District will be closed today, Wednesday the 12th.

Wishing good luck to our DECA students competing in Hot Springs today at State! Students who place in the top 3 in their event have the opportunity to compete at Nationals in Orlando, Florida! Let's go Blackhawks! #CTEMonth #WeMeanBusiness #FutureBusinessLeaders

On Friday, rising 9th and 10th graders had the opportunity to tour our high school and better understand each of our CTE pathways, other electives, and academic options offered. Students were able to hear from teachers and current students to learn about which pathway is right for them! With course selection decisions right around the corner, this was a great experience for our students! Ask your 8th or 9th grader what they enjoyed! 🧑‍💻👩‍đźŹđź‘©â€Ťđź’Ľđź‘¨â€ŤđźŤłđź‘©â€ŤđźŚľđź‘©â€Ťâš•ď¸Źđź‘¨â€ŤđźŹ«đź‘©â€ŤđźŽ¨

This week, we honor the dedication and invaluable contributions of our school counselors. Sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), National School Counseling Week highlights the crucial role counselors play in guiding students toward academic success, personal growth, and future career readiness.
School counselors do so much more than guide students through academic challenges—they are essential to the well-being of our students, providing support that extends far beyond the classroom. From teaching vital life skills to offering individual guidance, our counselors help shape the future of Pea Ridge students every day.
Join us in celebrating our incredible school counselors:
Pea Ridge Primary School: Kelsey Brodie
Pea Ridge Intermediate School: Madi Holliday
Pea Ridge Middle School: Megan Harness
Pea Ridge Junior High School: Sarah Msall & Charley Robbins
Pea Ridge High School: Paige Edwards & Kati Race

Congrats to our Boys and Girls Bowling Teams for winning 1st place in Conference! They are headed to state! 🎳🏆🥇 #GOHAWKS

Did you know that February is CTE Month?
Every February, the Career Technical Education (CTE) community celebrates CTE Month® to raise awareness of the role that CTE has in readying learners for college and career success. We are thankful for our CTE educators who work hard to ensure students are college and career-ready!
Are you familiar with our CTE pathways?
If you aren’t familiar with our district options for CTE courses, please visit our website https://www.pearidgek12.com/o/prhs and click on “Academics” to see a detailed overview of each of our programs of study.
Do you know what a CTSO is?
Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), which are led by our CTE teachers and tie directly to their programs of study, provide students with a range of benefits including developing leadership skills, enhancing technical knowledge, building professional networks, exploring career paths, boosting self-esteem, and gaining real-world experience through competitions and community engagement, ultimately preparing them for further education and the workforce.
Support our CTSOs and help students attend State & National Competitions
Four of our programs have partnered together to raise money to support student competition fees for state and (potentially) national competitions. We cannot thank our community enough for the support you have provided! But if you haven’t seen this yet, and would like to donate, any amount donated is greatly appreciated! All money raised is helping fund our HOSA (medical) DECA (business) Skills USA (graphic design) and FCCLA (culinary) programs. We are almost to our goal of $25k! Woah! 🤩 #CTEMonth #PRSD

Help us congratulate our nursing team on their award from ImmunizeAR!
At the start of our 24/25 school year about 17% of our students were missing or deficient in vaccines. The district nursing team assisted our families in providing resources, helping schedule appointments, arranging transportation, and assisting with exemption filings. By the end of the first semester less than 1% of our students were missing or deficient in immunizations.
The nursing team was awarded The 2024 Outstanding Childhood Immunization Award presented by ImmunizeAR, recognizing excellence in childhood vaccination efforts. ImmunizeAR is a non-profit organization committed to improving immunization rates through education, advocacy, and state-wide partnerships.
