During the week of November 3-7, the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and schools across the United States will celebrate the 2025 National School Psychology Week (NSPW). This week celebrates the contributions of school psychologists and the important role they play in schools and communities.
NSPW is an annual opportunity to recognize school psychologists' work to help children thrive in school, at home, and in life. This year's theme, "Finding Your Path," reflects the ways that school psychologists help students, families, and school communities set and achieve their goals. Join us by taking this week to chart your course to explore how each person can celebrate the work of school psychologists and learn how school psychologists make a difference every day.

📅 Check out the graphic below for times and details at each campus.
📝 Families planning to attend are asked to sign up in advance using the Google Form linked below. Completing the form will greatly speed up the entry process on the day of the event.
The form will remain open until Friday, November 7.

Yesterday, our very own Katie Rhine, Pea Ridge Pre-K Director, was recognized with the Avest Bank “We Love Teachers” Award! She received $500 to spend on school supplies, thanks to nominations from local community members who see her hard work and dedication every day.
Our Pre-K students even got to be part of the surprise celebration, making the moment extra special! We’re so thankful to have Mrs. Rhine leading our Pre-K program and for her commitment and care for our youngest learners in the Pea Ridge School District.

The Blackhawk Pantry will be open on Wednesday, November 5th, from 9–11 AM for families of Pea Ridge students.
We’ve also included the November calendar of mobile food giveaways from NWA Food Bank happening across the area—be sure to check it out and share with anyone who might need it.

What an incredible week for our Blackhawk runners!

We’re excited to host our Halloween weekend home game this Friday! As you plan your game-day spirit wear, please remember that Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) regulations apply to all spectators:
🚫 No full face paint or masks — small logos or insignias are fine.
🚫 No derogatory or suggestive slogans on clothing.
👕 Shirts must be worn — no bare chests permitted.
These expectations help us maintain a safe, family-friendly environment for everyone in the stands. Go Hawks!

Today, Pea Ridge Junior High, Intermediate, and Primary Schools completed the testing process to become officially Heart Safe Certified Schools.
Project ADAM Heart Safe School Designation is attained by schools upon successful implementation of a quality sudden cardiac arrest program of awareness, training and effective emergency response to promote a Heart Safe environment for students, visitors and staff as outlined within the Heart Safe School Checklist.
We were joined by Charles Wooley from the Arkansas Children’s Heart Institute, who leads "Project Adam" drills around the state and works to help get schools certified. Each of our campuses has a trained safety team—including nurses, administrators, counselors, SROs, office staff, teachers, and coaches—dedicated to responding quickly and effectively during emergencies.
At the end of the day, our goal is to be ready for anything and to make sure every student and staff member feels protected and cared for. Which is exactly what Coach John King & other staff members did many years ago, when they helped save the life of a high school student, Kennedy Allison, who went into cardiac arrest.
In response to that event, Arkansas Act 352 "The Kennedy Allison Law," was enacted, which mandates that all schools provide a cardiac emergency response plan by the 2025-26 school year and integrate it into emergency operations plans by the 2026-27 school year.
We’re proud of our staff, our Pea Ridge Fire and EMS partners, and everyone who helped make today’s certification possible. Thank you for helping us keep our schools safe, prepared, and ready for anything.
🩺 Tune in to KNWA tonight at 6 p.m. or Fox at 9 p.m. to see a special story about today’s certification event!

Last Tuesday was an exciting day in Pea Ridge! 🎉
We held the inaugural Pea Ridge Scholars Academy ceremony, recognizing our highest-achieving students who are enrolled in at least three advanced courses and maintain a 3.7 GPA or higher.
The Pea Ridge Scholars Academy is a free program for academically motivated students who want to explore their passions, discover career paths, and find the best college fit. It is part of our Advanced Programs and builds on the Pea Ridge Gifted and Talented foundation, but is open to all students ready for the challenge of Advanced, AP, or concurrent classes.
We are thankful for our GT Team and dedicated staff who worked hard to bring this program to life. We look forward to seeing the incredible things that will come from the Pea Ridge Scholars Academy!

On October 4th & October 11th, our PRHS & PRJH choir students auditioned for the Region Six Honor Choir. This audition included all schools in our area of the state, regardless of size or classification. Over 1,000 students auditioned from more than 10 different school districts.
Fourteen of our talented singers qualified! Six of these students scored high enough to compete at the state level in February! The Region Six Honor Choir will perform at the Arend Arts Center on November 1st. The concert is open to the community.
