We are proud to announce that Pea Ridge High School has been nationally recognized as a Unified Champion School! This prestigious honor highlights the incredible dedication of our students, staff, and community in fostering an inclusive environment where everyone belongs.
A special shoutout goes to team leader Shaye Brouse, whose leadership and passion made this achievement possible. 👏
While we haven’t received the official banner yet, once it arrives, we’ll schedule a formal banner presentation ceremony to celebrate this milestone together.
✨ Stay tuned for details — we can’t wait to celebrate with our Blackhawk community!

As we navigate the possibility of severe weather, we want to remind you of our district’s safety procedures. The well-being of our students and staff is always our top priority.
If our area is placed under a tornado warning during the school day, all students and staff will immediately move to designated safe interior areas within their buildings. They will remain there until the threat has passed.
During a shelter-in-place:
- Students will remain indoors until an official all-clear is issued.
- Staff will also remain sheltered in interior safe zones.
- Families will be notified as soon as the all-clear is given.
- If dismissal coincides with a warning, buses will be delayed until it is safe to resume operations.
- Students will not be permitted to leave with parents from the pick-up line or drive themselves home until the all-clear is issued.
We will provide updates through text messages, app notifications, and district social media accounts as these situations develop and are resolved.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we work to keep our school community safe.
