Focused and having fun! Big smiles at the Primary School today!




The Blackhawk Pantry will be open exclusively to Blackhawk families on Wednesday September 6th from 4:00-6:00 pm. Additionally, we will be open to the community on Thursday September 7th from 9:00-11:00 am.


Primary Students- Don't forget to wear your silly socks to Blackhawk Bash on Friday, September 8th!


These 3 girls are in Mrs. Taylor's music class where they are learning how to play with instruments safely and also having fun! They are playing the xylophone while singing songs!


Mrs. Stewart's Kindergarten Class participated in a taste test today. They had to predict if the items were sweet, salty, sour or spicy. They have been learning about the 5 senses this week.

Ms. Pyle's Kindergarten Students have been busy this week learning how to write their first and last name. We are so proud of our students.




Mrs. Bowen's Class was writing about key details from the story, Tomas and The Library Lady, for their Wit & Wisdom Assessment today.

Our speech therapists read books to students about various disabilities including Down syndrome and Autism. They also discussed different ways people can communicate (i.e. sign language and/or communication devices).




Mrs. Lamer's First Grade Class is working on letter formation with curved and straight lines today.

Primary teachers had a amazing week! We learned so much from Conscious Discipline to integrating our new standards. We did have some fun too! Our staff enjoyed making friendship bracelets with their colleagues.
