We had a fun day in Kindergarten today!!

⚾️🎶

Ms. Cummings’ class kicked off our new Arts and Letters module by making fruit salad! 🍓🍍🍎
Students worked together to wash, chop, mix, and serve—learning how food nourishes our bodies and brings our classroom community together. We also practiced using our manners (please, thank you, you’re welcome) and cleaned up after ourselves.
Such a fun, hands-on way to start our learning!

Bilingual Family Literacy Night on Thursday, November 20, was a wonderful celebration of reading and cultural connection! Our librarian Dena Hamilton recently expanded the library's collection of bilingual Spanish–English children’s books to support students whose families speak both languages. These books encourage children to continue developing literacy in their native language while creating family connections.
During the event, Dena and our Pea Ridge ESOL team (Daisy Salinas, Irlanda DeDear, Anne Southwick, and Jennifer Shields) welcomed families and helped students choose books to check out and enjoy over Thanksgiving break. The new bilingual collection is displayed on a dedicated shelf in the library, making it easy for students to find during their weekly library day.
We’re excited to see students continue exploring these books and sharing stories at home with their parents and siblings!

Our own Mrs. Jamie Bell is November's KNWA Golden Apple winner! She was nominated by one of her student's parents for being dedicated, determined and caring. She was surprised today at school and recognized for her efforts. Stay tuned for the link to the news segment on KNWA.
