Students in Mrs. Taylor’s Music Class aren’t wasting any time—right from the start, they are already diving in and learning how to read notes! It’s exciting to see them building a strong foundation in music that will help them grow as musicians all year long.

One of our students’ favorite parts of the day is lunchtime, and it’s no surprise why! The delicious meals served up each day keep their energy and smiles going strong. We are so thankful for our amazing cafeteria workers who work hard behind the scenes to make sure our students have nutritious and tasty food to enjoy.

Today we welcomed our new teachers with orientation, alongside our incredible Guiding Coalition Teachers as they prepare for a great year ahead. The building is buzzing with excitement, and we’re counting down the days until our students walk through the doors. We’ve missed all of you and can’t wait to get this school year started!

What an awesome moment it was to see our Principal and Assistant Principal take a pie in the face! It was all in good fun and brought so many laughs and smiles throughout the school. The lucky winners from our fun teacher and staff festivities were the ones who got the honor of throwing the pies—and they definitely made it count! We’re so grateful to have leadership that’s willing to join in the fun and help create such a positive and joyful school atmosphere. It was a day to remember!

Happy Birthday to our wonderful custodian! Your hard work, kindness, and dedication do not go unnoticed. You go above and beyond every day to keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone. We truly appreciate everything you do and are so lucky to have you as part of our school family. Wishing you a day filled with joy, laughter, and all the things that make you happiest!

Pea Ridge Middle School held its "Power of Choice: Pathways Ceremony" today. Led by GT Teacher Bobby Doston, students received a sticker representing the future career and technical education pathway they would like to pursue as they continue through PRSD. Prior to the ceremony, students learned more about what each pathway entails, then picked what interested them the most. We love seeing students get excited about their future at such an early age!

Lil' Hawks Camp starts a week from today! May 27-29th. Pre-Register through QR code or you can register morning of camp day 1 at assigned gym location. We are excited to see our baby birds for basketball camp! #GoHawks

Don't forget our special events this week to finish out the 24-25 school year. -Blackhawk Spirit Day: Tuesday May 20th - Field Day: Wednesday May 21st Lunches for field day will be sack lunches and the times will be adjusted for the day. 6th grade will have lunch at 12:00 and 5th grade will have lunch at 12:30.

Our middle schoolers had a fantastic day exploring the life and work of George Washington Carver! 🌱 From peanuts to sweet potatoes, his innovations were truly groundbreaking. Ask your students about a fun fact they learned about him. #education #myschoolrocks #HistoryInAction #CarverNationalPark

Students in 5th & 6th grades culminated their units in social studies by hosting their yearly "Walking Museum". Students constructed artifacts from their favorite units of study over the course of the school year in Mr. Sisson, Mr. Clark, Mr. McCrackin and Mrs. Cawleys Classroom. Thank you, parents for coming out today and viewing your child's incredible hard work.

We had a special visit today from 5th grade published author, Solomon Donoho! Solomon spoke with some of our 5th graders about his book, his journey to becoming an author, and the writing process—truly inspiring young writers in the making! Not only did he share his story, but he also generously donated 220 books so that every 5th grader could take home a copy.
