📸 7th Grade Spotlight 📸 Students in Coach Carter's PREPARE class took on the Marshmallow Challenge this week! Each group had 18 minutes to build the tallest tower they could using just a marshmallow, spaghetti, string, and tape. Before starting, students discussed their YouScience aptitude test results and several were surprised to see they scored high in creativity. This challenge gave them a chance to put that creativity into action! 💡 Afterward, Coach Carter led a powerful lesson on the importance of having the courage to fail, learning from mistakes, and trying again! Way to go, Coach Carter and 7th grade!! Building not only towers, but resilience and self-discovery, too!! ❤️ 🖤

👕✨ PRJH T-Shirt Design Contest! ✨👕

Calling all Junior High students! 🎨 Do you have school spirit AND a creative side? Now’s your chance to show it off!

✅ Design a shirt that promotes PRJH and school spirit
✅ You can draw it by hand OR use a design program like Canva

🏆 The winning design will be printed, and the winner will receive a FREE shirt featuring their design!

Help us welcome our new Pea Ridge Junior High Assistant Principal, Todd Boddie! Todd brings with him 16 years of experience in education and is passionate about creating a positive and supportive environment where all students can excel. He joins us from Rogers, where he served as Dean of Students, and in his new role, he will work closely with teachers to implement effective classroom management strategies and provide support to students as they strive to reach their full potential. Todd’s approach emphasizes building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff while fostering a culture of collaboration across the entire school community. In addition to his work as an educator and leader, Todd has had a significant impact in athletics. He founded the first-ever track and field program at Bentonville, coached numerous All-State and All-Conference athletes, and led his teams to multiple state championships. We are excited to welcome Mr. Boddie to the PRJH leadership team, and we are confident that his influence will have a lasting, positive impact on our school community.

Pea Ridge Drama Troupe’s production of Puffs is a month away! The play is a spoof of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Meet the students, professors, and crew of a Certain School of Magic! The show is May 2nd-4th!

On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of hosting a meet and greet with our new Pea Ridge Junior High principal, Sarah Raymond! It was a wonderful opportunity for PRJH staff to introduce themselves and officially welcome her to the district. With nearly a decade of administrative experience and a passion for student success, Mrs. Raymond is eager to build strong relationships and help lead our school forward. We’re excited to have her as part of the Blackhawk family!

The district wide Fine Arts are gearing up for our 3rd annual Fine Arts Thing in the Spring! Stop by the High School April 3rd 5-7:00pm to look at some art, listen to different types of music, and watch some theatre including a Children's Musical: The Magical Land of Oz. It's a completely free event! From our youngest and oldest performers and artists, you won't want to miss all the amazing talent!
