Pea Ridge Middle School students and staff were ready to soar today! Happy first day of school.
Monday is the big day when we all come back together for an amazing year. A few things to remember:
- Remember students can not be dropped off or walkers can not arrive before 7:30.
-Bring supplies to be sorted during classes.
-Every student will get a new copy of their schedule when they arrive.
-Make sure to remind your student how they will be going home on the first day.
-We release at 3:20 every day. Be patient with buses as they will be running behind on the first day.
Make sure to look over all other logistics of middle school below. It's going to be a great year!

This team has worked so hard this week to get everything ready for another new school year.They are the best around and we spent a little time this afternoon connecting and having some fun together. There are some amazing things happening at the Middle School and we can't wait to share them with our students and families.
Substitute Training is tomorrow! If you're interested in subbing for the Pea Ridge School District this year, please join us Thursday August 10th at the Admin. building from 1:00-3:00.
You will be able to take a packet with you and bring the packet back at a later time, or stay and complete the packet, get fingerprinted and we'll get them on the sub list that day!
Returning subs won't need to fill out any paperwork, unless they have changes they need to make on building preferences etc, direct deposit info, update personal contact info etc.
We had such a great open house tonight and loved seeing all of our students. Thank you for everyone that came. Our teams are ready to start another amazing year. #oneteamonegoal
Our Middle School shirts will be for sale this evening at open house. We will have the opportunity to order and pay with cash or credit tonight. Let's show our Blackhawk pride.
Also we will have the opportunity for you to pay the $5 supply fee for student's agendas tonight also. It will be available to pay with cash or credit for this.
The Blackhawk Pantry will be open tonight during open house for staff and families! We are a school based free resource center stocked with kid friendly foods, fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and household essentials. Teachers, staff, and Blackhawk families please stop by from 3:00-6:00!
Teachers and staff returned to campus today for our back to school kick off! We welcomed community stakeholders to celebrate partnerships and gift staff with back to school treats.
We have some exciting news that we will have Frosty Bites Shaved Ice available during Open House tomorrow night, 8/8, from 4:00-6:00. Part of the proceeds of sales will go to Middle School.

Pea Ridge graduate Dominic celebrated his first day of working for Pea Ridge Schools! Dominic is excited to begin his career and is looking forward to being a part of this team! Employed, Enlisted, Enrolled.
Every year over 1,000 school leaders meet in Little Rock for the AAEA Summer Conference. This year 4 of our district leaders were selected to present! Anne Martfeld, Dana Tabor, Kyle Thielemier and Alex Jackson represented Pea Ridge well sharing initiatives, projects and innovation.

Every Thursday families and staff are welcome to shop for free at The Blackhawk Pantry! This week the fridge was full of pizza making kits, fresh produce and dairy! Stay tuned for our updated hours as we start back to school.
Camp Connect ended in a splash today!
Camp Connect has kicked off for its second round this summer! Pea Ridge students are making connections, learning and creating while having fun!
On campus today we visited with parents, families, teachers and leaders that are ready to Connect Pea Ridge! Our Parent Engagement Team was ready to share ideas and set goals for opportunities to connect.
