Students receive certificates.

Mrs. Brouse’s SLC Transition class has officially completed the Pre-ETS Transition Program through Open Avenues, and what an incredible journey it has been! Throughout the program, students worked hard to develop essential skills they will need beyond high school, including workplace readiness, interview skills, teamwork, self-advocacy, and other important soft skills.

As part of the program, students participated in mock interviews, practiced professional communication, and proudly earned their certificates upon completion. An exciting milestone awaits them—now that they’ve completed the program, students are eligible to work up to 7 paid hours per week, gaining real-world experience while still in school.

This program provides meaningful opportunities and builds confidence as students prepare for life after high school and the working world ahead. Mrs. Brouse is incredibly proud of her students’ dedication and growth and cannot wait to see them continue to thrive and excel as they begin working next year.
