May 7, 2020

Dear Blackhawk Family,

As many of you know this week is dedicated to appreciating Teachers and Nurses, while last week we
thanked our Principals. As we look to the end of the school year, it is with heartfelt thanks that we
appreciate each of you who have been working at home with your students.

While each of us wishes for a different end to the school year, we are looking forward to one of the
most fun times of the school year, all of the celebrations that everyone enjoys. Since we won’t be
able to hold our traditional end of year activities, beginning next week on Monday, May 11, each
school will be exploring different ways to enrich our students.

AMI instruction will continue until the regular last day of school, which is May 26, 2020. Each
campus is organizing and planning fun enrichment and unique end of the year activities for our
students, as well as sending home in our last packets (paper or digital) some summer extension
options to ensure during the Fall of 2020 we are prepared for back to school.

Your student’s building administrators and/or teachers will be sending you the information in the
next few days via social media and email, so please be looking for this messaging, which may include
topics such as chromebook/device turn-in, supply pick up, locker clean-out, etc. As always the best
way to get the most up to date information is to follow the Pea Ridge School District and the schools’
Facebook pages. We encourage you to use this resource until the end of the school year and
throughout the summer to stay connected.

Once again during this time filled with appreciation for our education staff, we thank each of you, the
new teacher in your student’s life, for the challenge you have conquered ensuring a continued
educational environment for all.

Sincerely,

Pea Ridge School District
