Pea Ridge Junior High
Parent/Teacher Conference Notice
Next week we will host Parent-Teacher Conferences. We are excited to have parents and guardians on our campus and look forward to continuing to collaborate with you for the benefit of your child’s education!
Our PRJH conferences are Monday, 10/11 and Wednesday, 10/13 from 3:45 – 7:00 pm. We are offering both a virtual option and an in-person option for both days:
**From 3:45 – 5:15, conferences will be virtual and parents/guardians may reserve times with teachers using the link below.
**From 5:30-7:00, conferences will be held in-person at PRJH.
When parents/guardians arrive for the in-person conferences, we will have them wait outside until we unlock the main doors at 5:30 pm. Then upon entering the building, parents/guardians will pick up a copy of their child’s MAP scores, ACT Aspire scores and a current grade report. Building maps will also be available.
Families are then encouraged to find the classrooms of the teachers with whom they would like to visit. Please wait outside the room until the teacher is available, in order to give each family the privacy they deserve. We respectfully ask that you keep conversations to 5-10 minutes, as teachers would like to visit with as many families as possible. If you need to continue the conversation for a longer period of time, please schedule that conversation for a later date.
We strongly encourage you to have your PRJH student attend conferences with you! We view student ownership of their own education process as highly valuable, and believe they will benefit from meeting with teachers and parents/guardians as well.
As always, we look forward to partnering with you to further your child’s education. See you next week!

Parent/Teacher Conference Notice
“It has been a great nine weeks at Pea Ridge High School. It is hard to believe that we have nearly completed 25% of the school year. Our teachers have been working very hard, and we have progressed through lots of content and curriculum.
We have Parent/Teacher Conferences on October 11 (Monday) and October 14 (Thursday). These will serve as our First Quarter conferences, but technically the nine weeks do not end until 10.12.21. Because of this one-day difference, there could be a slight difference between the printed report card and the official nine-week’s grade.
The document below contains the finer details of next week’s Parent/Teacher Conferences. All conferences are by appointment this year. We received a lot of positive feedback from virtual conferences last year. Because of that, we are offering a blended format this year. Conferences between 3:45 and 5:15 are all virtual and conferences between 5:30 and 7:00 are onsite with the option to be virtual. Paper report cards, ACT Aspire scores, and MAP test scores will be available each night between 5:30 and 7. We will send the paper copies home with your student if they are not picked up.
Thank you for your support and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.”

The Spanker Creek Crafts Fair
Hello, Juniors! Just a reminder that the Spanker Creek Crafts Fair is coming up October 13- 17. Every year the junior class is responsible for raising money to pay for prom and this is our biggest fundraiser each year. This is a volunteer opportunity to park cars at the crafts fair and collect money for prom. We need more people for Friday (10-15), Saturday (10-16), and Sunday (10-17).
Volunteering for this event is a great way to earn credits toward your class dues (normally $30) and if you volunteer enough hours, prom tickets could also be discounted or completely paid for. Parents/Guardians may also volunteer to earn credits for their child.
It’s not too late to sign up: Complete the form linked below ASAP to express interest or contact Ms. McWilliams or Mr. Carreira for more information.
