Sharing & Caring of Benton County is preparing for the holiday season. The program helps local children by lending a helping hand to families in need during the holidays. More information about assistance, volunteering, donating, and sponsoring children is located here:

Parent Nights

Parent nights for the 2020-2021 School year will be an opportunity to learn about the changes coming up in the next school year with the opening of the new high school and the reconfiguration of other buildings within the district. Please join us on one of the following dates.

Paris, the Riviera, and Rome Tour

Get ready for the trip of a lifetime! Students, parents, and teachers are invited to join Jacob & Melissa Meyers on their upcoming tour, Paris, the Riviera, and Rome.

Departure Date: Monday, June 21, 2021 
Departure City: Bentonville, AR
Trip Length: 9 days
Overnights: Paris 2, Nice 2, Florence 1, Rome 2

Holiday Shoppe

Pea Ridge PTO will be hosting a Holiday Shoppe from 12/16-12/19, for students to be able to shop and wrap their gifts. The prices will range from $1-$5.

These homeroom classes will be shopping on the following Day:

December 17th: Hanna, Woodward, Hooten, Clark, Schroeder, Kimble, Shackelford
December 18th: Kennemer, Henson, Rogers, Wilkins, Crook, Reid, Bounds

  • Brilliant Blackhawks: 2:15 PM

On the morning of Friday, December 20, kindergarten will be going to businesses around the community to carol.

Primary and Intermediate

Winter Mini Cheer Clinic

The Pea Ridge Cheerleaders will host a Winter Mini Cheer Clinic this year on January 13, 15, and 16 with the performance on Friday, January 17.

Cost of the cheer clinic will be $30. This included 3 days of camp, a t-shirt, entry into the game on Friday, and snacks each day.

Candy Cane Grams

Candy Cane Grams go on sale next week only, December 9-13. Delivery will be on December 20th. Please be on the look-out for the forms coming home with your student. All proceeds go to help fund projects and books in the PRIS library.

Yearbook orders made before January 1, will cost $25. After January 1, the cost will be $30.

High School

Semester Exams and Weekly Schedule

Wednesday: Semester tests for 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th
Thursday: Semester tests for 2nd, 4th, and 6th
Friday: Make-up test day
Grades are due at 3:20 on Friday, December 20.
Any student not completing the Semester Test will receive “Incomplete” until the test is taken. There are no exemptions for Semester Tests in the Fall.

PRHS Cheerleaders Competition Dates

The PRHS Cheerleaders will compete at the following competitions:
AAA State Cheer Competition in Hot Springs – December 21, 2019

The American Legion Oratorical Contest

If you are interested in this contest, please pick up an application outside the Scholarship Office in the basket hanging on the wall. Applications are due January 3, 2020. The speech contest will be February 29th, 2020.
Winners will be awarded:
First Place: $2,000
Second Place: $1,500
Third Place: $1,000

The American Legion Scholarship

Attention Seniors:
Requirements to apply for this scholarship are as follows:

1. Must be children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren of  American Legionnaires in good standing for two or more consecutive years. Stepchildren may also apply. 
2. Applicant or Legionnaire MUST be a resident of Arkansas
$1,000 Coudret Trust Scholarship
$2,500 Garner Trust Scholarship
Application and supporting documents must be submitted by MARCH 13, 2020. Application and supporting information can be picked up outside the scholarship office in the file basket

The Wonders of Arkansas Amateur Photography Contest

4 categories of photos:
1. Landscape/Waterscape
2. Livestock/WIldlife
3. Cropland
4. Forest/Plants
The deadline to submit photos is January 17, 2020. You may enter up to a maximum of 4 photos. Details and applications can be picked up in the file basket outside the scholarship office.

Benton County Conservation District Essay Contest

This is for any senior who is planning on attending college in Arkansas.
Essay theme: “Where would we BEE without Pollinators?”
First Place: $1,000
Second Place: $500
All entries must be submitted by February 19, 2020. For more information, pick up an application outside the scholarship office in the file basket.
